Suhail Diaz is an energy professional with 23 years of experience in oil & gas, energy management, strategy, decarbonization, strategic planning, sustainability, and business improvement. Suhail gained rich international and multicultural experience serving in the Latin America, North Sea & Middle East markets. Responsible for leading operations in upstream and downstream business lines, optimising value in annual expenditures, capital projects, and leveraging innovation to drive operational and organizational efficiency. Suhail has proven experience as a business consultant delivering transformations spanning the entire oil & gas value chain. Her consulting engagements support organizations in developing strategies & capabilities by providing innovative and impactful insights with actionable recommendations. She is part of the SPE Board Committee at the Northern Emirates section, acting as a Chair of Gaia- Sustainability and actively participating in global and regional events.
Suhail holds a BSc in chemical engineering (1999), an MSc in reservoir engineering (2001) from Universidad Simon Bolivar (Venezuela), an MSc in petroleum production engineering (2009), and an MBA in Oil & Gas Management (2016) from Robert Gordon University (UK), and a Certification in Energy Management (UK, 2021). She is currently working as a Specialist in Strategy, Corporate planning and Decarbonization at ADNOC, and is involved in areas such as business plans, new energies (e.g. hydrogen), carbon emissions- ESG, and energy efficiency.
